We've implemented a new feature on Local Viking and Local Brand Manager that lets our users know when they've got a search term that has a new three-pack ranking. This video explains various ways these notifications have been implemented.

To access your scheduled search configurations, click on the "GeoGrid Search" option at the top of any page on Local Viking or Local Brand Manager when logged in. Configurations with banners use a color-coded system: blue, green, or both.

  • Blue Banner Indicates a recovered top-three ranking.

You will see a blue arrow pointing upwards near a search term, symbolizing regaining a top-three ranking. The silver star on specific nodes signifies that they were previously in the top three but dropped, and now they've been recovered.

  • Green Banner signifies attaining a top-three ranking for the first time.

Look for a green arrow next to a search term that has entered the three-pack for the first time. Additionally, a gold star will appear near the node that has achieved a spot in the three pack for the first time

  • Both

Occasionally, you may encounter both a Green and Blue banner simultaneously. This indicates that the configuration includes nodes that have returned to the three pack (previously dropped but regained) as well as new nodes that have just reached the top three rankings for the first time.
